About Me

Welcome to my website! I’m a British-Nigerian journalist living in Johannesburg with my husband, two naughty kids and two even naughtier dogs.

After two decades immersed in my first love – writing – I quit my job with The New York Times to pursue another art I love  – illustrating. 

​

I work primarily with hand-drawn techniques, using bright watercolours and inks to suffuse simple line drawings with a fun, humorous style. That said, it’s hard to avoid digital rendering in the 21st century, and a touch of digital magic can open creative possibilities.

My end vision is always the same: to tell a story, and to make someone’s day a little better through art.
